In the third timeline, upon learning about the fate of magical girls, Mami decides to kill her companions and herself before they can become witches, and Madoka kills her in order to save Homura and herself. Her death in the first timeline was when fighting Walpurgis Night.
The belief that she is a yandere stems from the perception that her downward spiral was caused purely by her love for Kyosuke. Moreover, Kyoko like Homura, looks at her potential partner in one of the official arts, a motive that often means crush and sexual desire. In particular, fans often read Kyoko’s behavior as having a crush or even obsession with Sayaka, a motive that can often be seen in HomuMado fan content. While neither of them are objectively “evil,” Homura actively works against the protagonist, Madoka, while Kyubey is little more than an observer. I’d even go so far as to say that Homura is the antagonist of the series, not Kyubey. That’s right, Homura is actually the cause of everyone else’s misfortune (sort of). In fact, later in the anime, Kyoko had sacrificed herself after her second encounter with Oktavia (Sayaka Miki’s witch) in hopes of reviving her. Why did Kyoko kill herself?īut they seem to resolve their broken relationship later after Homura Akemi and Madoka talked with them. In the end, Homura stole Madoka’s powers and became a demon, made possible due to her Soul Gem being corrupted not by despair but by “Love”. How old is homura Akemi? Homura AkemiĪfter seeing the suffering of magical girls throughout history, Madoka decides to make her wish: to prevent all magical girls from the past, present, future and all other timelines, from ever becoming witches. In the fictional city of Mitakihara, Japan, a middle school student named Madoka Kaname and her friend Sayaka Miki encounter a small, cat-like creature named Kyubey. In this event, Madoka can see this new universe but she is unable to do anything about what is occurring there. However, apparently the Magia Record universe is out of her control. In an event starring God Madoka from the Magica Record game she actually fully acknowledges the Magica Record universe. Inb4 Magia Record’s secretly been the canon sequel to rebellion this whole time… Is Madoka rebellion canon?

It’s not canon to the TV anime or Rebellion. Ui mainly appears in Iroha’s flashbacks, where she is seen staying in the hospital with Nemu Hiiragi and Touka Satomi. Ui Tamaki (環 うい) is the younger sister of Iroha Tamaki and a character in the 2017 mobile game Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story: Magia Record. It serves as a good extension of the original in the most inoffensive way possible.
